Q: How are San Ramon Valley Unified School District schools doing? A: San Ramon Valley Unified School District is one of the highest performing school districts in California and the nation. Over the past 10 years, schools in the San Ramon Valley Unified School District have received National Blue Ribbon or State Distinguished School distinctions more than 67 times.
Q: What is Measure Q? A: Measure Q will renews an expiring source of local funding without increase taxes. It will continue to protect quality education and retain excellent teachers for all San Ramon Valley students. The measure will protect academic programs in core subjects such as science, technology, engineering, and math, as well as prepare students for college and careers.
Q: What happens if Measure Q fails? A: If Measure Q does not pass, our schools will lose nearly $7 million every year in locally controlled funding. Cuts of this magnitude would lead to painful teacher layoffs, class size increases, and deep cuts to vital academic programs.
Q: Does Measure Q raise my taxes? A: Measure Q will NOT raise tax rates above what homeowners are currently paying. It will simply continue the current tax rate to maintain vital local funding that our public schools have relied on for more than two decades.
